A Little Bit About Me

My love for movement & fitness started at a very young age. Growing up in a family where chronic illness was a norm, I was determined to be the example that you can utilize movement and food as medicine.  From wellness practices to movement practices I've always been determined to live a holistic life. Hoping to inspire other movers alike to make healthier choices.

As a performing artist, my love for movement began at the age of 3, when I first began dance training.

Dancing opened my eyes to the complexity of the human body, and how abstract it is.  As a young athlete, strength & conditioning became a part of my everyday regimen and I loved how the body responded to training.  It made me a stronger dancer, and a better athlete.  My love for the body is what inspired me to become a trainer and further  inspired my studies in science & dance in college.  My work is driven by making other people better, building my clients up, and helping them not only create better movement patterns but also  healthier habits. Being more intentional with their workouts and how they care for their instruments. There's nothing more rewarding than being a part of someone's transformation experience.  Helping other people move and feel better is the reason I do what I do.

Having experienced many  injuries from dance, and having watched the health of many  relatives decline motivated me even more to do this work. I’ve always been determined to help other people reach their optimal health using a holistic approach.

My passion and curiosity led me to studying Biology & Dance at Long Island University-Brooklyn and now Athletic Training in Graduate school. Within my studies, there was a heavy emphasis on anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. This particular program allowed me to delve even deeper into sport specific training to encourage strength through many different training systems  and for all athletes.

I received my NASM Certification in  Personal Training which  allowed me to not only help dancers but the ability to train anyone from your average mover,  to your division 1 athlete.

. My knowledge is  built on the principles of resistance training, and functional movement.

My love for wanting to help people move and feel better is what excites me about the work that I do.
